Our Story
Magnum Metals has a rich history that began in 1985 under the name Riley Construction. Founded by Tim Riley, the company originally specialized in both residential and commercial construction, earning a strong reputation for quality craftsmanship and reliability. As the industry evolved, so did the Riley family's vision. In 2003, Tim saw an opportunity to branch out and focus on the steel sector, leading to the creation of Magnum Metals — a new chapter built on decades of experience and dedication.
Today, Magnum Metals is proudly family owned and operated by Tim and his son, Alex Riley. Located in Nettleton, Mississippi, the company operates from a 40-acre campus that serves as the heart of its daily operations. Their leadership and shared values have helped shape the business into a trusted name in the metal building industry, continuing the family’s legacy of hard work, innovation, and personal service. Their close-knit team and hands-on approach set them apart in a competitive field.
The Magnum Metals campus features a full-scale fabrication operation designed for efficiency and precision. The fabrication shop handles the structural components of each building, ensuring a solid foundation. Adjacent to it, the panel shop produces all the panels used in construction, while the trim shop custom-manufactures every trim piece needed to complete each structure. This integrated, on-site production model allows Magnum Metals to maintain strict quality control and deliver tailor-made solutions for every project.
Meet Our Owners
Alex Riley
Alex is the son of founder Tim Riley. He has been bred into the steel business all of his life and has began re-writing the book on the steel industry that his father first authored. Alex is an avid hunter and loves the outdoors. He is married and has 2 children and spends much of his free time in the cattle and farm industry. His passion is for his home town and the community around him. He strives to keep Magnum the same steel empire it has become with the small town business feel everyone looks for.
Tiim Riley
Tim is the founder of Magnum Metals after shifting gears from Riley Construction in 2003. Tim has been the visionary that wrote much of the book on how the steel and metal industry is run as we know it these days. He is married and has 3 children. Tim also spends much of his free time dealing in cattle and the farming industry as his second passion. He has built a business that serves the community, town, and state around him.
